Tribal Kitty and Ribbon Box

This is a rendition of that tribal cat pattern.  Cut from ? BB ply with a 1/8 BB Ply backing.  Sealed with tung oil then top coated with semi gloss lacquer.

This box is cut from pine.  The ribbon is ? in cedar on the outside and ? appleply on the inside.  The dimensions are 6 inches long x 4 ? inches wide x 2 ? inches tall.  The box is 1 ? inches deep.  The ribbon is 1 1/8 inches wide.  I finished it with several coats of tung oil.

That ply gives a stunning effect for the ribbon.  If someone has posted something before I must have either missed it or missed the effect.

I do like that cat pattern!

Appleply is sold at a couple of our Lowes here.  http:\\www.appleply.com This is a good alternative to BB ply.
