Owl
« on: April 06, 2013, 11:01:47 am »
Finally finished this one. Well, almost. I have a little more cleaning up then I'll have to make a frame. I'm happy with it.

I made the pattern from a video clip. I found a few bugs in the pattern I made so I hope to be able to share it next week if anyone is interested.

About 305 cuts. I used a #1 spiral on all cuts except the 3 large areas. I think it took about 3 or 4 hours to cut. I burned most of the fuzzies off but see I missed a few.

Comments/critiques welcome.

I met that sucker one night on my way back from the well at the campground! He flew right at my head until I jerked the flashlight up in his eyes and veered off. I don't think he had visions of carrying me off but he was so big I decided to not take chances!

Nice pattern and well cut!

Beauty. Did you do the Gimp/Inkscape method or some other to create the pattern?

Thanks everyone.

GB - Years ago my brother was walking across a field to the woods and one of these suckers stole his hat.

EIEIO - I just used Inkscape. A lot of work.
