Maybe I was just lucky, I haven't had any problems. I wonder if your windows updates are current or all you drivers are current, just a thought, like I said I have not had any trouble. I hope you can all get it to work it is nice, just like Steves video says.

Looks like I'm not going to install it till the bugs are worked out!

So far I've got pdf's and gif's to work.  Not jpg's though.  I haven't had an issues with the program though.  It will either work or not for certain file types.  I haven't had anything like Charlie is reporting.

Yeah, I tried it and had the same results as Charlie. I guess I'll delete and wait for improved model.

I have been experimenting with the program and found it does not like .jpg files.
Tried it several times with the same results. As I said earlier, I used Windows Explorer and went to C:\Program Files\Pattern Library. Deleted the first .bmp it made, or all .bmps. Then it worked perfect. Just stay away from .jpg files. Seems to only work with .pdf. Will try .gif and bmp next.

after experimenting with jpg and some bmp's, i was able to add them to the pattern library program. to do this, i first opened the pic with paint program, then clicked on the file tab and clicked on "save as" then in the box that opened click on "file type" and select "GIF", then click save, i then was able to save it to the pattern library.

Found the samething as MadHatter. The program seems to have an issue with .jpg. Covert them to .gif and it works.

Good idea Madhatter... do you lose integrity of the file though?

It's weird... the pdf's that Steve made work.  The pdf's that I made don't.  I can't figure out why.  I think I'm just going to keep them disorganized... it's easier that way  ;)

I already have mine somewhat organized by category in individual folders, which are in a folder named of all things "patterns", and I burn a cd once in a while as a back up. The program will be great when the bugs are worked out, but for now I'll stick to my system of downloading them directly into the appropriate folder as I get them.

I have mine in .pdf, .gif, .jpg, .bmp so I need to be able to put them all on lol.  I also have multiple folders for my patterns, patterns from others, patterns I can't sell, patterns I can sell, Patterns needing work, patterns in catalogs, etc.  Whew.  I appreciate your effort Steve, but I'm gonna have to wait for the new and improved version too.

But I'm only able to save pdf's.  Not .jpg, .bmp or .gif  Am I doing something wrong?
