Good shepherd

Hi everyone,

I need a pattern for a very sick young girl (10 y.o. in a coma....)
so I was thinking of a pattern that refers to a Christian children's song like
"Jesus the good shepherd" with a lamb, or maybe just nice lamb. (will add the verse in dutch myself)
or else maybe a "hand with a pearl" in it.
looking for a pattern that is a bit girl/children like .

I already took a copy, sure gonna make it!
not sure if I will make it for this 10 y.o.  girl....
so I'm gonna sleep on it and wait till tomorrow and see if the pearl in hand will be there too.
then I decide what to make.

specially Don for making two great patterns.
took me a copy, gonna make them, but.....

I didn't had the "that's it" feeling, sorry.
so I started looking and saw a picture of a hand that almost was a pattern.
did change a few parts and added the pearl.
would share it with you people.
it's a simple pattern.
going to make this one for the little girl.
will add her name on top with the last lyric of a dutch Christian children's song.

a couplet of the song goes a like:

do you know that the father knows you,
do you know you are of value,
do you know you are a pearl,
a pearl in Gods hand


(In dutch the verses rhyme)

That's a very nice sentiment. I'm sure it will comfort the girl and her family.

Your Hand pattern looks great. I just cut a similar kind of portrait (a Leprechaun for St.Patrick's Day, from a coloring book) and when I was done, I wished I had made it so the image was surrounded as much as possible by the black background rather than just the cut lines of the drawing. You could do that pretty easily on your pattern by drawing a 1/2" border and leaving the wrist connected t the boarder on the left side and cutting out the space all around the hand. Or maybe the wrist on the left plus just the tip of the finger touching on the right side. It makes a more dramatic picture, and you can set the background color to whatever looks good - black, sky blue, dark green, ... see the picture.

Marcel ,  God will help this little to go through this state, I am happy that you made the pattern to your liking   Looks beautiful and with the added words this will mean a lot to the parents of the little girl.
 I wanted to make one but Don did a great job with his patterns and I could not have better that.

Hi EIEIO,

I had the pattern finished and started cutting already.
this is the final pattern with the dutch words, "you are a pearl in Gods hand"
will be a two layer work, no frame.
paper size is A5 so pretty small parts in the letters.
