I cut this one today. The pattern is made from a picture I found on the internet. Stack cut from 1/8 inch maple plywood finished with tung oil. I thought the grain in the wood would look better than it does. Oh well..

You are correct, Maple ply has very little 'grain' to it as does most Maple.

Nice job Don.
I have to try making some frames like that, do you just go through half the thickness with a table saw or router? Do you cut a rabbet in the back or just attach it to the back? We don't have tobacco sticks up here in the great white north, but I can find something.

Pete, Yes I just cut the sticks half way through. I use my scroll saw since they are small cuts and my table saw is in another shop across the yard. I don't rabbett in the back, it is just glued.
