I'm of the opinion that if you didn't make the pattern (and you know good and well if you made the pattern or just altered it) then it aint yours and you should be ashamed of yourself if you claim it as your pattern. Are the scrollsaw police gonna come to your house and get you? Probly not, but that don't make it right.
I also agree with Charlie that if I post a pattern on a private forum (any forum where you have to be a member), I am posting it for those members to enjoy and NOT in the public domain. I share freely all my patterns, but I wouldn't appreciate it if you were sharing my patterns for me somewhere else.
