my first leaf scroll

had some scrap, piece of a side of old drawer 1/4 pine , used it to make my first leaf design and word pate from old pallet wood

Nice, did you cut the leaf veins or ink them in, or burn them in? Thanx for sharing!

I cut in viens using an skill 9.5 blade , it did very good with the pine, it didnt try to wonder, it runs at 1750 rpm , the motor on my montgermery ward scrollsaw is one speed, its built in 70s runs quite and smooth. My set up is kind a made up of things I have laying around, cheap but gets job done. Ive noticed if you want to keep your blade from wondering on soft wood like pine , use the sharp end of your circle compass to draw your lines out, the blade  will follow it. wtg
