Did you consider mounting the saw by its table rather than by its feet?

I did consider that but I didn't think it was a good idea to hang the weight of the saw from the table mounts. It would also transfer any vibration to the table mounts. I did think about taking the table off entirely and mounting the rest off the saw on a new table with the saw frame pivoting. Looking at the dollar to benefit ratio and considering what I had on hand, I ended up using the K.I.S.S. engineering method.

What a good idea.  I agree, cutting those rings at an angle gets old very fast.  That is why I would love to buy the Ring Master.

The Ringmaster is a neat tool but is limited to round bowls, vases etc. With the scrollsaw you can do oblong, hearts, triangles and more.
