My new completed projects
« on: June 11, 2010, 04:01:15 pm »
Here are a few more of the projects I have completed. The wooden clock was not as difficult as I thought it would be but when you mount it to the wall it has to be mounted precisely for it to keep running.

This was my first attempt at intarsia.

A small wooden cross made from 3/4 walnut and 1/4 poplar.

They are all beautiful.  I especially love the boat, although the clock is also quite precise.  Great job!

Thats the same clock I am working on right now.  I have all the parts cutout, but it wont run for long.  SOmetimes it will run for a minute and sometimes it will run for 5 minutes.  Have to gat after it again on Sunday wife cleaned the garage quite a bit today and I have duty tomorrow.

Chief, let me know if you are still having problems. Maybe we can call one or the other and I can let you know how I had to adjust it to get it to run. It does take some time and patience to get it just right. Mine runs right at 59.5 seconds so it has been pretty accurate although I did have to recut one gear.

I love both the ship and the clock.  The ship just looks great.  The clock, well, I've got an idea about just how precise you have to be to make one work so that is probably even more impressive.
