This is one I finished a few weeks ago. It is one of Steve's and is cut from a slab off an old aspin that I cut down several years ago. It was not a good wood, no matter how much sanding it has a dirty look to it.
What are we here for but to help others. (Author unknown)

Looks awesome! I've got the same pattern taped to a piece of basswood ready to cut.

From what I can see in the photo I feel the wood is a great match for the subject matter!
