Hi all. Haven't been on here very much since spring of this year. I come on when I get a chance, and check out what everyone's been doing (some beautiful stuff!), but I haven't been posting much. Took on a second job, so my spare time has been quite limited. Been getting some cutting done here and there, but just haven't been able to keep at it the way I would like! Oh well, that's life!
Anyhow, I thought I would share a picture of the clock I made for my folks. It's the Wakefield clock by Dirk Boelman. A relatively simple project compared to some of his patterns, but it does have its challenges. I made this one entirely from 1/4" cherry, except for the dial ornament, which is 1/8" maple. All cuts were done with the FD-UR #1, except for the panels which were cut on the table saw to keep everything straight and square! The clock works and dial were ordered from Dirk's website theartfactory.com The finish is simply brushed on semi-gloss polyurethane (3 coats).
I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! Thanks for looking and keep posting your fantastic work!
Glen
