A moment of prayer for the famlies
« on: December 14, 2012, 03:00:09 pm »
A most heinous act was commited against children today, a gunman killed at least 26 people with at least 18 of the children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn..  A moment of reflection and prayer for those that have been affected by this; especially at this time of year.  No motive is yet known the gunman was found dead (shot, by someone ).

I just heard about this also. Such a tragedy and during the Christmas holidays. My thoughts and prayers go out the families involved in this horrific incident and may God's spirit pour out upon them.  :)

They are all in our thoughts and prayers. Such a senseless act that will affect so many lives.

They will all  be in our thoughts. What kind of mindless moron would commit an atrocious act like that. WILD ANIMALS  don't do that.

A tragedy of monumental proportions.

May God Bless and keep them all.

Please remember though I know it is tough at a time like this....those guns did not kill the kids! The shooter is solely responsible!

I also saw that. That is just terrible thing to happen. Innocent lives taken away for no fault of their own. God bless their families.

Totally agree with you G B. Guns are harmless until someone pulls the trigger.
God bless those kids and their families.

Prayers to the families . Will I understand-  Never   If they take our guns away then these sick people will find another way to do what ever it is they think they are doing.

Someone asked how could God allow this?  My answer is God isn't allowed in the school, maybe we should start there.

Our news as been full of it also. I cry at every news bulletin it is just horrendous. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families.  Unfortunately All of the children, parents and teachers will need counseling for along time to come.
I would like to ask a question though, we keep seeing a photo of a young girl crying standing near a car and is on a phone and is desperately trying to contact her sister that is a teacher,  (she is only a young girl maybe 18) if you know of this photo, do you know if she found her sister?  Everytime I see this photo my heart goes out to her and I want to put my arms around her.
