Survivor Torch

My Son-In-Law is a big big fan of the reality TV show Survivor.  On that show each player carries a torch with them until they are eliminated.

So, I made him this Torch for Christmas this year. My scroll saw came in handy!! I used a 1" x 6" pine board for the bowl, the rings are made from walnut, the pole is poplar and it has Red Coral on the tags.

I cut the animal's from 1/8" Baltic Birch and then I wood burned some images on the pole.

The grip is made from Raffia strands.

Thanks for lookin'

Nice, I might pass this on to a friend of mine. He has 4 boys. Their mother died last December. He met a lady and they just got married. They are all survivor fans too and they use survivor for house discipline and rules. They would love to see this. Good job.
