Sand and Stone
« on: November 18, 2012, 01:04:18 am »
I've been doing some house cleaning (mark it down  :) )
and came across a bag full of get well cards a great many were from my extended family here in the forum, then came across this PPS I'll try to attach it here.
Many of those cards I didn't recall reading before such was the fog I was in back then and I just want you all to know how much your support and love means to me.
I've come a long way since then but my scrolling has suffered some neglect which I hope to rectify next season.
I did complete 2 projects though so I guess all is not lost yet.
Now if only the attachment makes it through, it may be too large.
Yes it was and I don't know any other way to share it with everyone here. Sorry :( :(

Gabby, as Russ said, we are all glad you are back and your health is improving, it will take time to fully recover and although you miss your scrolling your health is much more important. Your Scroll Saw will still be there once you are fully recovered, and don't forget you need good health to go stealing all those horses, otherwise that Rob will beat you to them all !!!!! ::)

Think this may help, Gabby

Sand and Stone!

A story tells of two friends who were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, she wrote in the sand:

"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE"

They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but her friend saved her. After she recovered from the near drowning, she wrote on a stone:

"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE"

The friend, who had slapped and saved her best friend, asked her, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand, where the winds of forgiveness can erase it, but when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone, so no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BLESSINGS IN STONE.
