As long as you have a flat surface, it will be easy to glue. Use Aleen's Tacky glue. Apply a thin layer to the bottom of the plaque. Set it in the proper position and press down for a few seconds. If you have any squeeze out, clean it up with a tooth pick. The glue dries clear, but will inhibit the stain, so make sure you remove the squeeze out before it sets. Glue before you stain as glue will not stick properly to stained wood.
Let the glue dry for about thirty minutes, then you can handle it to stain.
You can get Aleen's tacky glue at any craft store including Michael's. Make sure it is the brown bottle.
