Hey Everyone,
I just joined this forum a few days ago, and was asked to tell a little about me. I am the Executive Director for Youth for Christ South Central Kansas -- we reach out to kids who are "unchurched" and "at-risk," help them to connect to God, and mentor them to become successful adults.
The job is wonderful, and a great calling on my life, but it can also be very stressful! It takes years with some of these kids to see their lives change, and so, Scrollsawing -- where it might take an hour or two to see some results -- has been a great relief and fantastic hobby for me.
I started last October, and in May I moved to a town 10 miles away (same job), and stopped Scrolling until, well, last week! I am glad to be back at it.
I have recently acquired some other tools -- a table saw, etc., and am excited to learn even more about woodworking. There is something so peaceful and rewarding in "creating!"
