is an Elk one of those puney coastal elk from the Pacific Nothwest.
The 6 by 6 bull I killed in AZ makes them look like babies and there are plenty that make him look small. I know they can top 700 but they run smaller up here. And they are some of the tastiest eating there is, my wife and I ate on that elk for 3 years, not all at once though.
I know they are all of the Deer family and the largest is the Moose which is called elk in parts of Europe.
What's in a name. A steak by any other name would still be tasty.
