Got this real nice slab of red elm at my local sawmill today, kiln dried, 5/8". And only $12.00. My wheels are spinning in my head on what I can do with this. Will cut down into smaller pieces for the scroll saw.

You're so lucky over there, here in U.K. we'd pay 6 times that and the wood wouldn't look as nice either. - send it to me and I'm sure I can make a project or three out of it lol

Well, this was the 1st time here to this mill, and only 25 minutes away from my house, you better bet I will be going back, It seemed like the irregular pieces were the ones he wanted to move, also shorts(less than 6ft) are 25% cheaper off the regular price, that's perfect for me, I asked if they were open all winter and he said yes. So I will be supplied all year at reasonable prices.
