When I started scrolling several years ago I got a DeWalt and loved it but after hearing all the wonderful things about the Excaliuber, I sold the DeWalt and bought the Excaliber from Acme Electric. I got it home all excited and hated it for several reasons. I took it back to Acme and they were wonderful! I traded for the Delta 40-690. It was great and I used it for 11 months until it gave me the problems I discussed here. I took it in to Acme to get fixed. (
On a side note here, the repair guy said it would be at least 3 weeks before he could look at it. I called a few days later and said there was a bottle of Crown in it if he could get at it sooner. He called 2 days later to say it was ready
) He wanted me to bring my blades and wood I use to be sure.....It wasn't
It was doing the exact same as when I brought it in. Acme was wonderful. Since they didn't have a new delta they gave me my choice of options, Send it in to the factory where they would either repair or replace, Trade for a DeWalt for the difference in price ($522 plus $36.54 tax no stand or light) or total refund ($483.00) I took the refund, came home and ordered the DeWalt from CPO for $474 stand and light included and no tax. It will be here Tuesday. So I should be back in business and seeing Yellow again
I suppose it is too late to say "Long story short" Huh?
