Need your help
« on: June 24, 2012, 08:39:48 am »
As most of you know my brother, Les, had major heart surgery over two weeks ago. Since then he has had a number of issues that have set him back. The surgery went well and he has had the staples removed. However he has a hugh pressure sore on his tongue as a result of having the ventilitator tube in for so long. He was supposed to come home friday past but at 4:00 am he had a nose bleed that lasted all day. to a degree they had to give him a transfusion. The source of the bleed could not be located so they plugged both his nostrals. The plugs will be removed tomorrow then there is a 24 hour observation period so he may get home on Tuesday God willing. He has suffered so much. The surgery, the sore tongue and add to that having his nose plugged for 3 days. My request of you fine people. Can someone create a plaque to show courage, perserverence in the face of so many set backs.  Physically both Les and his wife are exausted and need to be home. Keep them in your prayers. Thanks, Clyde

Sorry, I ment to put this in the pattern request page. Maybe one of the moderators could move it for me.

Les is doing much better today. He has one nostral de-packed ( tampax removed) and the baloon deflated in the other, if everything goes well the baloon will be removed tomorrow  and he "MAY BE" home on Wednesday. Clyde

Update, Les is doing great. He saw his doctor this morning and IF things go the way they are going he will be home tomorrow. Thanks everyone, prayer is powerful, and they work too! He is in the final lap of this part of his journey, so lets cheer him with a few more prayers. ;D ;D Thanks Clyde

Here is my version of the pattern Katie supplied, thanks Katie. Instead of making a wall plaque I made it a stand alone piece with a base on it. It will have special significance for him as I made it from things he gave me for scrap.  The round part is the bottom of an old salad bowl that had a crack down the side and the words Courage and Perverence  are cut from an old jewellery box he was throwing out.   Les is doing great. Thanks everyone for the prayers, they paid off big time. ;) ;)
