MIGHT IS NOT NECESSARILY RIGHT.
The mighty American warship U.S.S. Enterprise was certainly not feeling intimidated when it's radar screen revealed an approaching object. The captain, obviously feeling his vessel hadn't been seen, calmly and politely broadcast a radio warning; "Please divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision."
A reply, just as polite and firm, came back "Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision."
With all the authority of a man who commands a crew of 5,000 and an impressive array of weaponry he tried again: "This is the captain of a U.S.Navy ship, I say again - divert your course."
The mystery voice again snapped back: "NO! I say again YOU DIVERT YOUR COURSE."
By this time the American captain's patience had run out and his radio blasted out the warning: "This is the aircraft carrier Enterprise. We are a large warship of the United States Navy. DIVERT YOUR COURSE NOW!"
There was quite a long pause before the mystery voice said politely:
"This is a LIGHTHOUSE..... your call."
