Luckily I havent had a major tool run in but good freind was at my house used table saw and also became thumb, those tools are nasty and we tend to forget using them every day.

Hoping you have a really speedy and relatively painless recovery.

Oh Richard!  I am so sorry to hear of your accident.  The one tool in our shop I rarely use, it scares me that much.

Thumby, So sorry to read about your mishap.    I nearly lost my thumb a few years ago on the table saw.  My ego hurt worse than the injury but I regained respect for the tool.  I wish you well and hope you get back in the shop soon. Things may be a bit different for you but I saw some excellent scroll work on another forum from a guy who only had one HAND.  His motto: from Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge.."Improvise, adapt, overcome"... Just got back from a week at my daughters in London, and first message I see in the forum is this one, really sorry to hear of your accident and hope you recover soon. Hope you get scrolling again soon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery
