Marg's Hand Part 2.
« on: April 27, 2012, 02:55:04 am »
I saw the specialist today and got some good news.  :) I will only be in a hand brace for 6 weeks instead of the 3 months that I was originally told and because the 2 brakes are clean and not displaced there will be no need for surgery. Plus because it is a hand brace with velcro I will not have to attend a hospital in the UK to have it taken off.  So all good news, :) I just wish it didn't hurt so much. :'(

Hi Marg, Just you concentrate on your holiday in the UK and the pain will go away. Best wishes for a quick recovery. Just think you will have two breaks this year. One in your hand and one in the UK LOL. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
ROB Roy.

Glad to read that the news is good.  Even though it is still a long recovery, it is better than thought at first so that is really great!  I hope you have continued improvement and can get back to normal and pain free soon!

Good news, but tell the truth now.  You broke it smacking somebody upside the head didn't you?  :D

Great news, Marg.  I'm happy for you.  Just don't try to rush the recovery.  Let it heal properly, and all should be well.

I've had 2 knee surgeries in the last 3 years, and before those a shoulder surgery and even a brain surgery.  That one was 29 years ago, and I'm doing better than expected for a 59 year old.

So all the best, relax and all will be great.

So glad to hear this good news.  Nothing hurts more then a bone break.  Make sure and let your hand heal completely.  Doc can't give you a Rx for the pain????
