Pattern Folder
« on: March 31, 2012, 08:10:39 pm »
Hi Everyone,
I have been looking at some of the older post from people asking for animal or generic patterns and saw that they were deleted by admin. and am sure it was because of space. Have you guys thought about a folder for patterns other than personal created by the pattern makers. I have downloaded a few patterns and was very happy to get them. You have a great site and a lot of very good pattern makers that share their work. I am very grateful to all of you and just wanted to say Thanks Again for sharing. It is great to go to a place and meet people that share same interest.

Thanks Again,
John

Posted attachments in here are fading and will be automatically taken off after 3 month(?).
No big deal as we are all constantly checking in here eh! ;D

I was just thinking a lot of people ask for patterns that are almost the same and if they had a folder that they could check would help out and help us with remembering where we saw or put something. Again just patterns everyone could use not the personal request. Just a thought.

Thanks,
John

The problem comes from sever space. This is a totally free site provided by Steve Good. Pictures/patterns take up a lot of sever space, posts/typing does not. Therefore pictures/patterns are deleted after three months so that we can continue to post and have this forum. Usually if you request a pattern the members are able to remember and direct you to it even after the three months. It works, it is free and it has become a family. For me that is all that matters.  :)

I agree Russ and I was sure it was a server space thing. You are right it is like a family here and everyone is very helpful and go out of their way to help others. This is the site that I log on every day or so just to read the new post and get new ideas for projects. Like I said the pattern makers are amazing and we are all grateful for them and also for you guys that take care of this site.

Thanks Again,
John
