Well I finally did it thanks to Ray at Seyco.

Awhile back I posted about gettin a Excalibur 21 or 30. GrayBeard said I should call Ray and I finally did last Friday. Now I was really worried about gettin a 21 and wishing bigger,, I hate to call and bother anyone and searched and looked on the web for info, but just didnt do it for me so I called Ray.
Something that he told me and it's funny, he asked me how old I was,,and I'm gonna be 50 this year,,and he says now you gonna be standing up and swinging a 30 inch piece of wood, and how many things are you gonna make at 30 inches. That made dang good sence...I might wanna make something bigger but not as much as I would use the 21 inch. What impressed me, he was down to earth, didnt try to push me into buying anything.
He and Cindy is good down to earth people. They are old school where they take time and talk to ya. Well the 21 should get here tomorrow and the old Craftsman ,,my friend looked at some of the stuff I made and wanted a scroll saw to play with, so I guess it's gonna have a new home as well.... Cant wait and this gonna be fun folks!!!  Peace and love to all!!!

Thanks !! I'll post ..I'm so excited. Ya all said how the ex-21 is so I'm holding ya'll to it...LOL!! Really all,,I think this is gonna be a something on the next level of scroll sawing without all the vibs. This Craftsman I have now is a decent saw for what I paid for it, and it really got me interested into scrolling. First project I did was some inlay for my tv stand, then I tryed something hard as the kitten project. And it is a decent saw to begin with to see if your gonna like scrolling or not. I couldnt see spending alot of money on something I didnt know I would enjoy,,but I'm hooked...I'll prob. end up scrollin more than working on the big projects in the shop anymore. Not cause I think I'm lazy, but scrolling is a art in it self. I seen so many beautiful things on here and I love it....
Thank you all for your help, and I'm learning as time goes by.

Well I'm enjoying this saw. Made my first project this week.Took me awhile cause the saw came in last Friday and with my work,I didnt have alot of spare time, and wanting to do more with this, got the saw and a stand, so I thought I got room in my shop, I gonna use the stand for support for table top I'm wanting to make and it isnt anything special, but gave me more room and help me have more clutter...LOL!!
I'm so glad I spent the money for this one. Should last me along time down the road....Have a great weekend to come all....        Jesse...

Just want to make a quick post....  You sound like me around 4 years ago with getting my new toy.  First thoughts was to sell my crafts.  Well after Three years with doing the craft shows and some good n some not so good I have accumulated so many different projects that did not sell.  I have EIGHT 11x17 boxes full of different things.  Always in my way.  LOL  I lived n breathed scrolling everyday.  Anyway long story short I am getting into the slow mode excitement of everyday scrolling.  Think I will follow after my good buddy Marcel from Holland and only make projects for friends n family on special occasions.

Hi Danny! Sorry been awhile since I had time on the net to post. Well,,I dont know alot about selling things, so I be making things mostly for friends and family. What I make is nothing special, just a nice day or night to go in the shop to relax. I'll never be gifted as you all on here, but hope what I make brings joy to others.
It wont be perfect, but was made from me.
I appreciate your post,,and understand where your coming from. I bought this saw cause all the comments on it was it was the cats meow. Well what time I got to use it, it is the best. It will prob. last my lifetime cause all the other projects, work to be done here at home, but I just wanted something nice, and it is a nice gift to myself .
Danny whats so sad to me is you can go to alot of stores and see alot of crafts that sell so cheap and made in China, production work, and not hand made goods. Now how can a person compete and make a living off his crafts when you have someone close sellin cheep crap down a few isles. Me I dont buy that junk,,and it's junk.but that me ,but there at this time are alot of folks trying to save a dime.
