I worked on the Falcons for over 16 years, I too would enjoy having a pattern of the F-16.    I have several nice photos of them, but not a clue how to transform a photo to a pattern.

Will have to keep watching this request.

If you post one of your photo's of the F16, I'm sure one of our fantastic pattern makers here will give it a go.

Here are a couple of images of the F-16, if there is a better profile, let me know.  To the best of my knowledge, these photos are available for the public use.

Sigh.  Now I have another project on the stack.

Sincere appreciation Paul, thanks.

(Still curious how you do that...)

My Buddy is an F16 Pilot. And Just got his wings last year. He has done a tour in Iraq and is now back at home on base. I want to surprise him with this. Both patterns are great but the shiloutte is awesome. Its just what Im looking for. I needed kind of a metal cut look shilloute and you nailed it. Thanks a million.  ;D

Gramp's made a great pattern of the F16's, Im going to be a vendor at this years airshow in Lakeland Fl, at the end of March, And the Thunderbirds will be performing. I thought these would make great portraits and desk top items, without copyright issues. I reconfigured Pauls pattern a bit and thought some of you might want to make it too.

I'm going to cut it out of 3/4" Mahogany, and place it on either a square or oval base. When its complete I'll post a pic.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS POST....
After printing out the other pattern, I just wasn't happy with the font, So I made a new base for Grampa's F-16, I think this one is cleaner then the previous one. For those that are interested, here is the updated pattern.

PS...Structurally, it would be better to make sure that the long grain of the wood is vertical, this will give the base and letters more strength and lessen the likely hood of breakage, especially if you use wood thinner than 3/4".

Update: Finished product, if you plan on making this pattern, be aware that the letters are a bit fragile. Sand with care, I broke the big "F" off while sanding which created a verbal "F"!!

Bagged a copy.  Thanks.  Spent many years working on F-16's, so I shall most likely cut this one with a couple of different woods.

Thanks again.
