The REAL truth about dogs sleeping with their owners....
I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

I think its more a case of my dog (90 lb Weimaraner) letting me sleep with him.

When I had my Great Dane (the one on my picture, who died a month ago), he slept on the floor, but few winters nights, he jumped on the bed to come with us... He was 140 pounds. You can imagine that the space was small... So we were my girlfriend, me, the dog and the cat in a queen bed... Nobody could move!!!!! :-)

And every weekend morning, he cames on the bed, and push us out of the bed, so he could be alone in the bed!!!!

I miss him very much... :'(

LOL!! Years ago I never would have, but guess I'm getting older and a softy. Abbygale ,,she was a puppy that was dropped off at a Tractor Supply store and my friends found her running around the dumpster trying to find something to eat. I tell ya,,,she was just a puppy and how can people be so cruel...She is part schnauzer and mini pincher...She sleeps at my head,,my feet,,my lap she is one loving dog and protective...I never thought taking her in my home would be such a blessing...

It's a rarity when he gets to do so, like a very special occasion. He's a newfoundland, and weighs about 180 lbs. If he gets a bath, and looks at you with those big brown eyes, then he might be invited up for a little snuggle. But no way for the whole night, he's just to big of a dog.

Judy you hit the nail on the head! If you let one, then all the rest would be there too.
We presently have 4 dogs and a cat. It just aint going to happen!
