Painting tutorials?
« on: January 10, 2012, 08:29:01 am »
Does anyone here know where one might find some painting turorials for small projects.  I have tried painting some of my puzzles and other small pronects. But I'm really terrible at it.  When I'm done it looks like a little kid did it.  I need to get better at it but I don't know the techniques. Anybody have any videos on your web pages or blogs?

YouTube is a wonderful source for free tutorials. If You are going to be painting in acrylics, I would definitely narrow the search results down. Oil and acrylic techniques can vary quite a bit.. the best first step is blending and color theory. And at some point if you working with acrylics and really want to blend your colors you will need to get some slow dry gel..

The best resource for painting that I have found is our own Sheila Landry
http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/
She has some awesome patterns that make painting so simple!

Hi Spartan, have you thought of using an airbrush. Quite easy to use. If I can use one anyone can. Hope this might help.
Rob Roy.
