Well I am retired from the Navy, I still have to work.  My retirement wont even cover rent.  Everyone thinks we make all kinds of money when we retire after 20 years, not true at all.

Amen to that!  That's why I've been working for the Post Office since I retired in '05!  I could live strictly off my retirement, but I wouldn't be able to do much else.  No internet, motorcylce, no woodworking, etc.....  If I want to have a little fun, I've got to keep working.

I hope you can find something stable and long term for yourself.   With all the money problems the Postal Service has right now, I might not have a job this time next year!  We'll see!

Chief, maybe a job with Lowes or HomeDepot? They may give discounts for working there - two birds with one stone

I hear ya Chief, but the pension does help.  It's the insurance I really like.  Home Depot and Lowes already gives Retired military a discount.  Just show them you ID.
