Wow! What a difference!!!
Only 1 1/2 hours today and they got me out of the
'echo chamber'.

Things are beginning to sound sort of normal and now I have three new programs
to test for next week to see which of the four on my 'remote' will work out the
best and then they will adjust the other three to get closer to natural.
Now when I tap my fingernails on the desk it sounds almost right, not like a badly tuned banjo string being plucked.

I was able to correctly repeat all the TEST words and sentences back to the
audiologist with only minor mistakes. Got a A+ for my session.

All the folks that have these amazing devices keep telling me this will get
better and better over the next 5 weeks and I am finding it hard to believe that
can happen but I'm sure hoping. Turned on the stereo a while ago with some nice
quiet piano music and enjoyed it for the first time in 30 years.

I was thinking about you yesterday GB, I rang this company and was told that all available operators were busy and to hold the line suddenly this music which under normal conditions would have been really nice to listen to, but suddenly it came blazing through the receiver as if I was at a concert.  POW.  All I could think of was ' Oh thank God I'm not GB I would be across the room flat on my backside'  LOL
