Quarter Sawn Oak and Black Walnut Bowl
« on: August 03, 2011, 12:34:55 pm »
Ok suspense time is over.
The wood used was Quarter Sawn Oak, American Black Walnut, finished with a semi gloss lacquer.
The bowl is done and from the blank I showed you I got this. . . . . . .

I used this pattern ( my own design ) had to modify it slightly for size and the corner radius.

That's a beauty DW. Did you know what you were going to get when you glued up the blank?

Had a fair idea what it was going to look like as I made up the blank and then designed the pattern.  I usually can see things in 3d when I am designing them  sometimes good .. sometimes not so good it takes practice.
