Dewalt top blade tightening knob

Steve,
In one of your videos I noticed that your Dewalt has a different (larger) knob to tighten the blade.  I have to really "crank" on my stock knob to keep the blade tight.  Where did you get your knob.  It looks large enought to all it to tighten the blade.

Hi Larry, the lever is one I made from an off the shelf part. The link below is the one I used. You have to shorten the bolt by cutting it so you might buy two so you have one for a backup.  A word of caution. You can easily over tighten and break the clamps on the DeWalt saw. Use this at your own risk. The lever can give a lot of extra tightening so be careful. Also the stock DeWalt thumbscrew had a pivot in side the bold to help prevent bending the blade. You lose that feature with the lever. I can't say it has caused me a problem but the possibility is there depending on the blades you use. You will also void the warranty if you still have one left.
