Kim,

It's called a Xyron machine. I got mine at Michaels using a 50% off coupon. I started with the 5" model and upgraded to the 9" one. You can get cartridges for it with repositionable  adhesive, permanent adhesive, magnets and lamination. The cartridges are expensive, so I also use coupons for them or buy them when they are on sale. I also try to layout items to reduce the amount I waste.  The cartridges for the 9" model cost about the same as for the 5" machine with a much larger quantity of adhesive on each cartridge. You just run the paper through the machine by turning a crank and it puts the sticky stuff on the back. A clear plastic film catches the extra adhesive between the items - the plastic film peals off easily. The temporary adhesive holds fine through sawing provided it hasn't been moved around a lot and the wood is free of loose sawdust from sanding. I use clear packing tape on most items, which also helps keep the pattern in place. I believe Judy Gale Roberts has also written a blog post about using  the Xyron machine for scroll sawing, but I don't remember where I saw it. Here's a link for the machine:

Thanks for the information and the link Susan. Sounds like something I can add to my wish list.

Hi Susan, welcome to the forum. Always nice to have such a talented crafter to bounce ideas off of. I watched your YouTube video. Very nice. You should do more. Let me know when you do and I'll post them on the blog.
