I have been a woodworker for many years, but never a scroller...until about ayear ago when I found Steve's site. That put a bug in my saddle. I went out and found a very nice Craftsman VS 16" saw, got it for a song tho it was only a few months old, and it has been sitting in storage for all that time. I just moved into my new house, and am getting my garage shop set up, and may be able to actually try out scrolling soon. I want to make a clock, for a dear Pastor friend, out of some mahogany I have saved, and a business card holder for his desk. I want to practice some before cutting on the real mahogany. I downloaded Steve's keychain maker, was not able to get it to work properly, so will re-download it. Want to make some of those for acquaintances.
Anyway, just wanted to check in and let y'all know I am here and that I will be watching your posts to get ideas for my work. If I ever get as good as some of y'all, I will feel really good.Gotta learn about blades and how the saw works before getting good...never run one before.
And, by the way, I am located in beautiful Port Orchard, Washington!!! Where two consecutive days of sun and no rain is called SUMMER!!! And if you are fortunate, it falls on a weekend!!!!!!
