Bird- Bird Houses
« on: January 21, 2011, 01:09:51 pm »
On one of the forums last night I heard about a sight I had not seen befor? its called ?ETSY?  sort of like ebay but they sell handmade stuff?
So in browsing the woodworking stuff? I saw some really neat scroll sawn bird houses!  The roofs of the birdhouses are the birds wings? my wife looked and said? two words? I want!
so? now I need to find a pattern source? below are URLs for the items I was looking at? anyone have any idea where I can get the patterns?

http://www.etsy.com/listing/60648801/blue-jay-birdhouse?ref=cat1_gallery_2

http://www.etsy.com/listing/66198138/majestic-home-for-our-little-friends?ref=cat1_gallery_5

http://www.etsy.com/listing/61075771/handcrafted-mockingbird-birdhouse?ref=cat1_gallery_3

Thanks in advance?
Mike Harvey

Mike; The Winfield collection has them in their catalog or on the web site; www.winfieldcollection.com. Their patterns are very good, I am making a camping trailer bird house from their catalog right now.

WOW! that eagle birdhouse would seem to scare the bejeezus out of the little guys!

I agree that the plans might have been from Winfield collection.

They have good plans...have used several for lawn furniture items.

I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

Well... my thanks for the winfield recomendation, unfortunantly... I could not find the patterns I was looking for in there collection... (I did however end up spending $40+ and marking down a buch to buy when more $$ is available (smile))

So many great things to make... so little time to do it!  Well we can only try.

So... anybody elce have any ideas about the bird birdhouse;s?

Hi Mike I knew I saw them somewhere, but as my pc crashed a while back not in favourites anymore, but did a google search and struck gold. Here's the link, they have lots of cool birdhouses and other stuff.

Mike; Winfield has them. Bluejay is #W1264BH, Eagle is#W1276BH, Mockingbird is#W1261BH. They have at least 12 different houses in their catalog.

Here is the link to the winfield bird house page. They have a couple of other cute designs, I like the cat ones myself.

Thank you everyone!  Looks like I need to learn to use my search tools better.... at least these are patterns my wife WANTS me to get... so she wont gripe quite as much as she did about the ones I bought from Winfield yesterday... have a good day...

My son and I are headed out the door (in 5 degree weather) to head for the Indianapolis Wood working show today... should be fun!
