As I understand you, you are cutting 12mm or 1/2" material...

And why the choice of the Two-Way cut blade?

Seems like a job for #5 SR....

Try increasing the speed. FDTC # 5 blade has worked great on ply for me but at 1/2" you might want to kick it up .  :)

What's the difference between FDTC#5 blades and #5 SR?
I've never heard of an FDTC blade.

Clickedy @ Mike's Workshop

SR = Scroll Reverse
TC = Two Way Cut

Didn't use them yet - but the SR looks like it has more progressive feed.

there is also the UR = ultra reverse

I use the SR and the UR and the UR stays better on track.
I find the UR has the tendency to slap the wood a bit quicker then the SR.
both SR and UR slap the wood a bit more the the non reversed blades, but the cut is so much cleaner at the bottom of the project.

I think for stacked cutting the TC and UR are etter because they cut  2 ways over the whole blade.
the SR does that only on the lowest teeth.

look at the pictures and argue/consider for yourself how they work.
