What is the normal protocol ????
« on: December 27, 2010, 12:56:36 pm »
Now that I have my shop pretty much put the way I want it, I have the the right blades, new wood, good chair, work table, great advise from everyone here.  The only thing left is to get some air flow going.  So what do I do now, when I make a mistake and have no excuses left ???  I didn't know if there was a general excuse form that everyone refers to or do you just fly with the first thing that comes to mind ??

When I've run out of excuses....what excuse do you use ???  Thought since most of y'all have been there and done that you would have a list of excuses I could work with.  Guess my sense of humor is not the norm ???

Marion, I don't make mistakes, but sometimes I make an artistic design change. And if that ADC does not work, It becomes designer firewood!
Seriously though, It does take practice, Patience and some more practice. The only excuse you have to make is not enough practice, patience and more practice!

Thank goodness, the last projects that the Wood Gremlins, artistic variations, I wonder how it would look if I did it this way and my artistic design changes have been able to be fixed and I am the only one that knows !!!  I'm glad I started in the Fall/Winter time, as that is a good idea for extra wood in the fireplace ( I can get rid of the evidence before anyone sees ).  I have so enjoyed the time with my saw and even though I don't like being practical I know it is practice, practice, practice.  So nice to have a place to go to where others have been thru it and can help when needed.  Thanks to all of you for the great "excuses".

Half the world is composed of idiots, the other half are those who had a good excuse for being that way.  (I thought I was following the directions!!)

Designer fire wood is not a bad thing. It adds chacter to your wood pile. Just make saw dust and be happy. Happy New Year. Bobby

I don't have a fireplace to burn my mistakes in but, I do give my scraps and off cuts to a friend who has one. When I see him, he often hands me a piece of wood that I gave him and asks "Is this something you meant to keep?". I can't help but laugh and tell him to go ahead and burn it! Sometimes he keeps it for himself.  :D :D
There no such things as MISTAKES!!!  :D :D :D :D
