fooling around one night with a paper guitar template that came with my sons guitar hero game, I had an idea lol. as you can see I cut the body of a guitar and then scrolled some musicians into it and made a clock. I used 1/4 baltic birch and polyurethaned it, also added black felt to back.

They look great!  I've been thinking about doing different guitar patterns and painting them black for my daughter's room.  She plays guitar.

Also, I'm going to do some Beatles for my sister-in-law.  I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to do that thing with their 4 faces or some words.  I found a cool thing online that says "Imagine All The People Living Life In Peace."

I'd like to keep in touch with you.  It seems we might have similar scrollsaw interests.  Maybe we can share ideas  ;D

Madhatter,
I like how you took something and made it personal to someone. I like to do that when people ask for custom request I try to make the item unique and as personal to thier interest as I can. It seems they always appreciate the gift that much more. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Mike
