Cherie, it's good to hear from you again, even though your news was a bit sad.  I'm another grandparent that has gone through the same thing, and I encourage you to believe that things will change.  My two sons and wives shunned me after I divorced their mother after 13 years of alcoholism.  They didn't feel I had done enough and for two years I didn't get to see my 8 grands.  Lots and lots of prayers later things changed and we now even get to baby sit the grands, who ALWAYS loved me.  It was just the parents who had the problem.

I join all your other friends here in wishing you and Juan a very Happy Thanksgiving, a day when we all have much to be thankful for.

Your friend, John
Your web footed friend in Seattle, WA.

Thanks John and Harold.
I feel better right now.  Jaun and I talked about the school issue and now I just have to wait to hear from my adviser.  I am gonna put off the Design Arts for at least a year and finish the English.  Take some time away from school so I can do other things, such as cut wood.  I will graduate English next semester.
I love my woodworking family.

Cherie - I too am really glad that things are a little brighter right now.  Hang in there, you will find a way though it all.  Hope this time off for Thanksgiving gave you a chance to recharge your batteries and put a little different spin on things.  Cheers.  Dan

we have been through this with 2 sets of grandchildren. we do see them on a regular basis now. It does get better. We had a death in the family right before Thanksgiving. Even though it is hard to deal with everything will get better. Hang in there girl. I was in Missouri for the holiday and got snow. that was a bonus. It's been a long time since i saw any snow
