somebody else can probably explain it better, but a spiral blade has teeth all the way aroung so it cuts in all directions. You don;t need to turn the piece as much.

I have been watching Steves video's and im really interested in cutting puzzles, any suggestions on the blades that i will need to cut them?

Depends entirely on how thick and how much detail is in the puzzle. On 3/4" stand up puzzles, I usually use a #5 reverse tooth, on 1/4" puzzles, I use Flying dutchman superior puzzle blades. those work very well for photo puzzles.

Ok Thank you, I just got back in from my shop from cutting a few pieces of wood just to try out my saw and noticed that i have a quick release for my blades and was trying to figure out what type it was, It has a little finger tab on it and works great< heres is a couple pictures of it so hopefully someone can tell me what brand it is,
this is the nut side
and here is the side with the finger lever
