Air Brush suggestion?

Hi,
 Do those of you that use an air brush to paint with have any
suggestions on what to purchase? Also any accessories to buy.Thanks for your input.

I have the badger 350.  Be sure and get an inline filter.  Lots of extra bottles.

Hi Gary,
If you just want to slap a coat of paint on then most cheap units are ok. If you want to do detail work go for a double action top feed gun. Yo can usually find good units including a compressure and inline filter on ebay relatively cheap, normally advertised for painting finger nails.

I have been using the cheap one from Harbor Freight for two years. It does everything I need.

Im with Russ on this one, I have a cheaper airbrush, It does what I need to do so far (It won't do indepth details) just cover paint small projects with it.

these are the two most commonly used airbrush companies
(lots of good information about airbrushing)

(paasche air brushes are on the high end)
 It all depends on how detailed you want to get with your painting.

I have a badger 150. don't use it much for finishing my scroll work.
always want to, but I find cleaning a brush easier than cleaning the airbrush 

I also had a revell beginners airbrush, but the difference with the badger is huge.
my opinion is that it's better to give a few dollars extra for a badger

I also use the cheap one from harbor freight, and have not had any issues.  I would suggest checking out some of the model railroad forums, lots of good air brush information there.  I use mine for weathering, like adding rust to the rivets.  I have not done anything in over a year, has my air compressor failed.  If you like, I can send you some good links with information.

I also use the cheap Harbor Freight airbrush. I spray a water based polycrylic clear. I have been using it for years. I have worn it out and need a new one, but it works great
