mounting scroll saw

hi all , nice to meet you , mike here , my 1st post , i picked up a cheap scroll saw to start me off as it was only $99 cad.
looking at mounting the saw to this stand  however on the bottom of the scrollsaw there is a rubber pad on each corner wondering if i should remove these or leave them on as it will reduce the vibration ?

Hey Mike, glad you are here.  I'm Gene from Iowa.  If I am right you leave them on to help cut down on the vibration when you are sawing.

Hey Mike, welcome to the forum. I'm Dan from Southern California. Come on in and join the fun! I would leave the rubber on the bottom as Gene advised. It will help dampen vibration.

I have a Hegner mounted to a wooden table with now rubber in between.
I think when removing the rubber, the saw becomes one with the stand.
if the saw vibrates on top of the stand (with rubbers) it might shake the stand as well.
looking at the stand I'm not sure what is the best for you, but I would remove the rubbers.

yeah, I would leave the rubber there also.

But more important:
Bring the saw into your shop. You'll have big trouble in the living room!!

Welcome aboard, I'd leave the rubber and if you don't like it you can always take it off later.  But I think you would be better off with it.

Mounting tha saw to a metal stand i would probably use 'rubber' washers on the under side of the table also.

Run your saw and see what is the best, most saws have a little vibration, and don.t cut wood in your house as suggested as you have dust every where

I don't want to scare you but I too bought this saw as my first scroll saw and I ended up going through 4 saws before i finally gave up and returned it.

I had to return them for the same 2 issues: 1-The saw gets real noisy and starts to vibrate real bad.  2- The blade clamp screws break.

Hope you don't go through the issues i had but keep your receipt there is a 5 year warranty on the saw.

ya i read all reviews on this saw and they wernt pretty at all however   wanted to get into the craft here and had to start somewhere , funds atm   less them none so just needed to pickup somthing i can use , totally plan on buying a good saw down the road when i can save or afford it , even a used one i wont mind  just somethign descent !
really appreciate the input   i to am scared it wont last long however price was right L(
