It Arrived
« on: September 10, 2010, 06:26:35 pm »
Good Day Folks!

My saw and stand arrived today  ;D But for some reason, the work light didn't show up, oh well ,I called Grizzly - and they said it will be here Monday. I didn't even get it in the door, and I already started building the stand.  I have to wait to the family gets home to help put the rest of it together.  I have to say that Grizzly is TOP notch. However, the box the stand came in, broke open, there is no real damage, just some scuff marks on the powder coating.  It was shipped UPS.

Hope everyone has a great weekend,

Steven

Have a question ( this is for the stand), one of the bolts has a allen head - where do I use it? I also have 1 extra long bolt + the extra bolt with the allen head.

Thanks in advance,

Steven

Hey Steven, I don't remember an Allen head bolt. It may not be needed.  set it aside for now. You should be able to mount the saw to the stand by yourself, unless you have a physical limitation. I do a lot of demos and remove and remount the saw from the stand often!
Have fun with the saw, your going to love it!

I had extra bolts with mine that came in July.
Enjoy,

Good Day Folks!

Woke up early and put the saw together. Had a few minor issues, like the back bolt. The bolt for the stand itself was in the way of the saw bolt. Also I don't have deep well socket, I will have to pick one up. Everything is tight, except for 2 bolts, I was able to secure them enough for now. I do have a question though, the blade is not completely centered in the plate hole. Also I noticed there is not a hook up for dust collector, I guess I must have missed that in the description.

As long as the blade is square to the table, it is OK.. You can adjust the table somewhat, but not much.
There is no dust collection port. When I used a Dremel saw that did have a dust collection port, the port was in the way when changing blades. So you will have to come up with your own system.

Rather than deep well socket you can use open end wrench. Or some type of adjustable wrench to tighten remaining bolts. As for the stand bold in the way of the saw bolt just put the top one in first then you can put the one in for the stand.

All my bolts were black. rather than color make sure you have the right size bolt for the right hole. You will find that information on the diagram.

Instructions are all ways easy for the person that rites them and there is normally parts left over no matter what you are assembling, good luck with your new toy I am still enjoying mine, one does not appreciate quality until they use it, my first saw was a Ryobi
