Mercedes Star
« on: September 04, 2010, 04:14:42 pm »
Does anybody know where I can find a pattern of the star that sits on the bonnet of a Mercedes. I friend of mine who drives me around a bit would love one. Thought I would make it for him as a thank you present for all he does for me. A have I picture of it somewhere, but don't really know how to get the angles right in the middle. So any help is welcome.

Just go buy a Mercedes, they come with a star attached then you can copy it.

By the way, the star uses  30 / 60 / 90 degree angles. Do you happen to have an old drafting triangle of that ilk laying around?

Grampa, you are absolutely the greatest. These look great, once done I will post a picture. Rog thanks for the angle info. The workshop I go to has one of those triangle thingies floating about.

PS Rog he drives a mercedes, he just happen to mention that he would love the star for in his garage, he fixes up old timers, many mercedes.

If I cut that and hang it in the garage it will be as close as I will ever get to having a Mercedes in MY garage!

Nice, Quick work Paul!
