Plane blades

Hi all me again well i was trying to put in one of my plane blades and it was a pain
But i got it in and it is just great. Now i can get in to the small holes .
I just wish it was not so hard to put them on. I just bought my first scroll saw it is from sears
does anyone have any advice on how to put them on.

When I had the Cman saw pinless blade changing was a pain, due to the need to use the supplied hex wrench on the lock screw. I made it simpler by using a thumb type
lock screw which did away with the wrench.If memory serves this old mind, I used the lock screw from the blade guard, which gave me an excuse to get rid of that useless accessory.

I will try that but where is the blade guard at is it the one that holes the wood down ?

That is the one; many scrollers quickly discard them as they are always in the way.
