Steve is doing 2 different types this year layered and non layered.  I ordered sometime ago and almost finished my layered ones.

Thanks for the information. I just submitted an order. I got a very quick reply by email that my order was received. But the email says the order can take up to 2 weeks. I was hoping to get them sooner....Christmas is just around the corner. I should have inquired earlier:(

Watch Steve do his magic.  I order when he was real busy and it took a couple of days.

From time to time Steve is busy with his real job but he is usually real quick,

Understand. Can you stack cut the layered?

For the bottom 2 layers I stacked 5 pieces of 1/8 BB.  I had 2 up on one sheet.  I hot glued together in the corners and the middle as I wanted to assure no movement.

For the top, I stack cut out  the snowflakes and the 2015.  I did not cut out the name as I cut across the red line.

When I cut the out side they split part since the glue is on the edges. I then glued the names only to the layers below and cut just the names.

I did not cut the ones from last year and so I am doing those plus the ones I ordered this year so I have 15 to do.  I will end up with a few blanks which is good as the fist name I cut out had a void right at the edge and it broke.

I hope that this is not too confusing

Makes sense to me. Do you add the Santa, Christmas tree also? Can't determine what the other figure is in the back.

What wood to use? I know Steve suggests Baltic Birch ply and I will start with this. I find that ply doesn't seem to have the cleanest cut as compared to using a hardwood, less sanding in the small tiny areas when using a hardwood.

Two years ago when I used Steve's Christmas ornaments, I used Walnut 1/4" but found that often the Walnut would really darken too much after finish was applied. This time I am going to look for a lighter hardwood and a cheaper one.

I add the other layers as I stack cut those separately.  I also stack cut the dividers too.

I would use hardwood if I had a source other than milling myself  but I use 1/8 inch Baltic birch.

I saw a post were someone use all 1/4 and no dividers and it looked cool.
