Ornaments and patterns for the Nativity story
« on: October 21, 2015, 01:04:18 pm »
2 years ago I was given a challenge from my niece to create some Christmas ornaments that actually had a "Christ" theme to them.  I decided to create a set of ornaments that could be used to tell the nativity story.

The first year we read the story on Christmas eve and had the grand children hang the ornaments as we read.  It went great.

Last year, my daughter took the PDF coloring book and actually had a full size bound book made for me as a gift.  We read that as we hung the ornaments.  I can't tell you how great that was.

This year I'm getting a late start on cutting ornaments, and many people have asked for copies of the book.

Here are 2 PDFs with the patterns in them.  Because I can't cut nearly enough ornaments for all the friends and family that want them, so I also made a coloring book version.  I print the last pages of the coloring book on card stock, then give them as gifts.

Feel free to cut, copy, print, and give these away

Those are really nice.  Thanks so much for sharing.
Question.  Do you just put some finish on them or do you paint them or what?

I've barely sanded them a bit to get burrs off.  No finish at all.  I think my niece varnished hers.
