Newbie project

Still trying to figure out scrolling. I took one of Steve's vase pattern and changed out the scroll. I replaced it with the logo of a friend's business. I scanned it from her business card, then tweaked it with Photoshop, then Inkscape. This project was a lot of fun. :)

Very nicely done.  Great to see you thinking outside the "box" so to speak.  I think it is great that you tried and succeeded in making something of your own.  Many of us make adjustments to patterns.  Some take one pattern and add another  to make something they want.  Keep up the great work.  Thanks for sharing this with us, looking forward to seeing more of it.

Wow! It looks like you're well on your way to figuring things out. This project turned out very nice. The only problem is once your friends and family find out how talented and inventive you are then say good-bye to any free time...just saying!

excellent job there, especially when you changed the pattern to suit your needs.
