Dewalt 788 Type 2
« on: January 29, 2015, 01:12:07 pm »
Anyone used replacement parts.com for parts? Need to replace some parts on my saw and came across this site and wondered if anyone has any experience with them. Need to replace the blade chuck and would appreciate any suggestions on getting the old one off. I have not been successful in turning the screws up to this point. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you mean this site:  http://www.ereplacementparts.com/search_result.php?q=RSW1240G

I have used them several times over the years for parts.  I have not been disappointed.

I had to replace my top blade chuck a few months ago. Did a google search for dewalt service center and found one about 10 miles from me. Ordered two blade chucks, knobs and a bellows (that I thought might go bad). Ordered them on line, got them in less than a week.

Have you ever replaced the bellows, my not working to well (788 type 2) can't find instructions for taking apart the top arm to get to the bellows.

Have never replaced bellows but take a look at the website in the above posts, it might be helpful.

I have used that site many times for my DeWalt 788 and for other tools and appliances. I have never had a problem.
