hello from maine

hi all......brand spanking new to scroll saws. looking to start a good hobby. i am going to retire in a year and only plan on working a couple days a week, so i need to fill the void. we have a place "up north" that we spend alot of time at, and are going to move there when i do retire. i am going to read and browse this site and get started.

Jack, happy to have you join.  It is a great, relaxing hobby.  I do many types of woodworking, and I find scroll sawing very enjoyable.  Some day i hope to be good at it and Intarsia.   I think you will enjoy it.

Nice to hear from you. I have a nephew named Jack living in Damariscotta. Beautiful part of the country.

From one newbie to another I bid you welcome Jack. I'm a touch north and west of you on the shores of Lake Huron , Ontario , Canada. I have not got any Guinness (just a guess , but an educated one) so I'll toast your arrival with a Honey Brown Ale if that's OK.
